Not sure what to say?

Mary was a dear friend and a fabulous neighbor. My other neighbor, Tamera, and I regularly reminisce about her loving and fun spirit, and the many delightful hours we spent working in all of our gardens with her. She frequently wore us out!! She used to ask to borrow my 2 story ladder to clean her gutters, and would fuss when I refused and volunteered to do hers. She'd always then volunteer to do mine! We speak of her often and miss her still, very much. Thanks to Becky and Peyton for...

I have many fond memories of Mary, dating back to 1956, when I first became a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Maumee. My mother, Alice Spaulding, considered Mary a dear friend. She was an angel on earth. She will be missed!!

Steve and Cindy, Sorry for your loss. My deepest condolences. Always, Jeff Earle

Mary in her cottage garden

To Becki and Steve and family- So many wonderful memories of your mother! Her beautiful garden every year and the pride she took in tending it, her grabbing a spade and helping me dig up peonies for my own garden in California when she was in her eighties, her helping us bake apple pies when we were young so we could make money in the neighborhood, her sweet southern drawl that never quite left her. My thoughts are with you at this sad time. May you find joy in all of your memories of the...

Dear Spangler family,
My sincere apologies for not being able to come and pay my respects to all. Mrs. Spangler was probably one of the most beloved people on this planet, loved and respected by so many people. I have very special memories of her that I will forever hold dear and such a special woman to all the Huffmans!! Rest assured you can be proud of the faithful servant and as she met our maker, I know He looked at her and said, "Job well done". Heaven gained a beautiful angel!! ...

I became friends with Mary through my late husband, Ted Young, whom Mary was very good friends with his Mom. My prayers are with the family, and I am so glad I was able to spend time with Mary - she was a very wise lady.

I met Mary through St. Paul's rummage sale. She was such a genuinely sweet and kind lady. Mary Spangler "sparkled" !

Some of my best memories and friends of Clear Lake was Mary and your family. My sympathy to all of you.

My thoughts and prayers are with you, Mary was such a sweet Clear Lake neighbor and was quite often digging in her flower beds. Sympathy to Becky, Jim and Steve from the Eicher Family.
