Mary Ann (Cusic) Spisich
Evansville, Ind.
Mary Ann (Cusic) Spisich, 91, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Sunday, April 8, 2012, at VNA Charlier Hospice Center.
Mary was born in Sturgis, Kentucky on August 9, 1920, to Mason and Alma (Henshaw) Frank. She became a Registered Nurse after graduating from Deaconess School of Nursing in 1941. In the 1940's, she and two assistants took care of over 100 soldiers at a Veteran Hospital in Miami, Florida. Mary was of the Baptist faith who loved to read her Bible. She was an avid UK Basketball fan and enjoyed sewing.
Mary is survived by her son, Dan Spisich (Beverly), of Evansville, Ind.; grandchildren, Matthew, Tyson, Wilson Spisich, and Jennifer Sulawske; great-grandchildren, Justin, Christian, and Eli; and a daughter-in-law, Shelly Spisich, of Australia.
Mary is preceded in death by her husband in 1998, Joseph John Spisich; son, in 2008, Douglas Joseph Spisich; parents; sister, Margarette Bosecker; and brothers, William and Mason Cusic.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Steve Clayton officiating.
Friends may visit from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Avenue.
Memorial contributions may be made to VNA Charlier Hospice, 610 E. Walnut St. Evansville, IN 47713.
