My Two Moms
Mary Struthers was my second Mom. She and her husband (Rod) were friends with my parents in the early 1940's. (My father and Rod were boyhood friends and grew up near each other in Oregon, then enlisting in the service together.) My Mom always told the story that when Rod introduced Mary to my parents as his girlfriend, they knew she was the one for him. It proved to be the case, as they enjoyed a long marriage and created a loving family.
