Not sure what to say?

Mother,
Happy first birthday in Heaven.
I hope you finally know how much you are loved.
Always, Katie

Dear Mary,

Thank you for your friendship, kindness and graciousness. (And for your salad dressing!) The memories temper the sadness of your passing.

Sara, Katie, Jonathan and Molly, you are all in our thoughts.

"To live in hearts we leave behind
Is not to die." ~Thomas Campbell

Thank you to he or she who has contributed to the preservation of this special anthology for another calendar year.

Many of us come here often to relish the words of Mary's/Mother's/Granny's/Aunt Mary's friends and family.

Here we find catharsis incarnate.

Surely her legacy continues in countless manners - some known and others to be determined over the march of time...with love always being the constant denominator.

We encourage all to continue the additions - no...

I think the memorial gathering was just perfect. What a wonderful gathering of her dear friends from all stages of her life. For me it served as a reconnect and a reminder to stay gathered together as Mary so often prescribed to her friends; the way of FRIENDSHIP lights our hearts. Dear Mary we will always remember your wonderful laugh, wit and fast on the uptake responses. love love to you dear girl, Sharon

Farewell to Mary

only Mary could conjure up
such a marvelous bash
a memorable reunion
of this eclectic gang from the past

of friends and cohorts and family
she loved for all those years
thru good times,trials and hurdles
thru laughter, joys and tears

she walked life's path with style and grace
a gift one seldom sees
left her mark on each of us
with unique, yet profound subtlety

a serene and classic beauty
yet deep and mysterious...

Mary,

A gathering in your honor on Saturday was a comfort to so many who loved you. I know this because they said as much themselves.

The food and drink were perfect; the tunes were consistent to your taste; and your friends and family communed in your honor.

I think that was you in the stunning rainbow stretching across the bay as we left your wake. Thanks for coming too.

We still miss you so much!!

I don't know why it has taken me so long to add to this lovely collection.
I think it is because I have been a little frozen, I can not believe Mary is gone. At the same time my heart knows she is at rest now and in a good place.

Nothing I could ever write can truely express how dear she was to me and how much of an impact and influence she had on my life.
I know she did the same for many, we are all lucky and blessed with the time we had with her and fortunate to be left...

Who can add anything new to all the
wonderful thoughts and memories
that have been expressed here! This
friend was loved and admired by all
who were lucky enough to know her!

I think that Mary was the best
teacher of that old saying...When
you wind up with lemons, MAKE
LEMONADE!!

All my love to Molly, Jonathon,
Katie and Sara! God!! How she
loved you guys!!

I will always remember staying over at Marys in Belvedere watching the Brave Little Toaster while my mom, grandmother, and Mary had cocktails next door or being taught how to play solitaire and gin rummy by Mary.
Love Will
