Mary Virginia Woods Thorn
Hartselle
Funeral service for Mary Virginia Woods Thorn, 82, of Hartselle will be Monday, July 19, 2010, at noon at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Harold Hall and the Rev. Carroll Hall officiating. Burial will be in Grange Hall Cemetery. Visitation will be this evening from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Thorn died Friday, July 16, 2010, at Hartselle Medical Center. She was born August 24, 1927, in Morgan County to William C. Woods and Mary McCleskey Woods.
She is survived by seven daughters, Helen Martin, Mary Jane Terry, Bonnie Smith and Diane Hollis, all of Hartselle, Leanne Mauffray of Decatur, Alisa Morgan of Danville and Kristi Kemper of Moulton; two sisters, Imogene Posey of Casa Grande, Ariz., and Gale Jones of Trinity; 10 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Stinson Jr., Steven Stinson, Donnie Mauffray Jr., Donnie Mauffray Sr., Christopher Mauffrey, Brandon Berry, Austin Dial, Greg Jones, Allen Jones and Brian Jones.
