Not sure what to say?

I was a student of Miss Turner's at Ensley High School 1956-1957; she inspired me to go on to college to become a Secretarial Studiies secondary teacher and I did. I will always remember her kindness and patience.

I was a student of Miss Turner's at EHS in 1968-1970. There were only a few electric typewriters in the typing classroom and you had to be quick to score one! She was a wonderful teacher who never once raised her voice. I am blessed to have had her as one of my teachers. The skills I learned back then served me well as I worked at Southern Company Services and Bradley,Arant law firm immediately after high school graduation.

Miss Turner -- A very special lady and wonderful teacher. I did not have the opportunity to attend college. Miss Turner told me if I planned to be a secretary she could teach me all I needed to know. She helped me obtain my first job right out of high school. I now have over 32 years with South Central Bell, BellSouth and AT&T. I have her to thank for many blessings in my life. My thoughts and prayers are with your family and friends. God Bless You Miss Turner!

We would race to the typing room to try and get a typewriter that had the characters on the keys. Miss turner would conduct a typing exercise where we would type to music. The player was a manual Victrola with a crank and a horn speaker.

I helped Miss Turner repair typewriters and the Marchant calculators. She said that I would grow up to be an...
