My Dear Mary: Even tho it has been years since we have crossed paths I think of you often. You were my mentor when I was first out of nursing school. You let me know up front what was expected of me. You taught me many many things not the least what it was to be a caring, strict but humorous and comforting nurse and most of all to be the patients advocate. You were the jewel of nursing practice. I worked with Mary at RC Regional Health for a year. She was a great nurse and helped so many people over the years

Mary was a beautiful lady inside and out. She always made room for one more kid at her house. I have many fond memories of the Vasquez home. Mary will be missed by everyone who knew her, and we are all better because she was in our lives.

I have very find memories of Mary. I worked at RCRH(Monument) years ago. She was a great mentor to me but I remember she could be super hard on some of the young nurses. For some reason she liked me and took me under her wing. She was a true asset to Nursing! So sorry for your loss! May God comfort you during this time!!
