Not sure what to say?

My name is Anna Marie Bernardy Schuh and I am sending my condolences to the family of Mary Vedder.

While I did not know Mrs. Vedder, my family is connected to her and her family in two ways. My father Edwin Bernardy was a first cousin to her husband Joseph Vedder, and my sister, Mary Frances Bernardy Rounds, was her student at Mother of Sorrows High School.

Mary was very helpful to me when I began teaching at St. Jude. She became a good friend and shall be greatly missed. I am blessed and honored to have known her.

Mary, Joe & Family,
We were so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. When we look back at our fond memories of St. Jude, it's hard not to think of Mrs. Vedder. We were fortunate to see her at the 50th Anniversary dinner in October.
May God bless you in this most difficult time.

Dear Vedder Family,
I was blessed to have known Mary through her volunteering at Cardinal Bernardin School. She not only was an amazing person but a true inspiration to me, and others around her. I will miss her.
With Sympathy,

To the Family of Mary Vedder, Frank &I were sorry to hear of your loss, though you had lost touch with us, you were always in our thoughts as a neighbor, and friend

I believe Mrs. Vedder was my kindergarten teacher circa 1953 at Ray School in Chicago. I especially remember she sang and played guitar, a lovely memory. Sincerely sorry for your loss, Nora Schreckengost
