Hodges Family Funeral Home - Zephyrhills Obituary

Mary Sue Vickery, 74, went home to be with the Lord on the Lord's day, Sunday, July 16. She was the widow to Jim Vickery and the most amazing mom to son, Bill Emo (Ft Myers) and daughter, Becky (Emo) McFadden (Tampa), (Rob). Along with her son and daughter, she is survived by 5 grandchildren, Ryan, Tate, and Tillman Emo and Will and Wesley McFadden. She leaves behind 4 wonderful siblings, Linda Dirksen, Brian (Kay) Denny, Dennis Deeny, and Patty (Jim) Clarke. She will be missed dearly, but she is finally home with the Lord and will not have to suffer anymore. The family would like to express their gratitude to the people who took such good care of mom at Heritage Park Nursing Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to please adopt someone in a nursing home and go visit them. They love your visits, even short ones. Sometimes, you are the only visitor they ever get.

Her funeral Mass will be held Saturday, August 5th at 10:00 am at St Stephen Catholic Church, 10118 Saint Stephen Circle, Riverview, FL 33569.

Not sure what to say?

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Aunt Sue was such a caring and warm person who always had a smile on her face. She was such a wonderful friend and sister in-law to my mom and dad. I'm sure they are all dancing in heaven and smiling down on us all.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this difficult time. Your mum is in a much better place now and watching over you.

Take comfort in knowing that now you have a special guardian angel to watch over you.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire family. Daughter, Becky is one of my lifelong friends from Brooksville. Thinking of you all.
