Not sure what to say?

Carl,
I was so sorry to read about your mother's death, but think this should also be a time to celebration her long life. She was a sweet face we saw at church, and I know was always a very loving presence in your life. She was also a friend of my mother's, and I remember visiting her with my mother. I keep up with my wonderful Granby girls, even though I now live in Richmond, and it was Janet Burgess Wilson who emailed me about your mother. I hope you are enjoying life in Atlanta. But...

Carl, I have been fortunate to be welcomed into your life and your mother's and father's. I consider each of you a gift.

I am grateful they both have far better lives now.

Your Mom and Dad could not have been more proud of you, their son.

Keith Martin, Norfolk, VA

Carl, I haven't seen you since graduation 1965. I was the tallest girl at Granby, Layne Fraser. I am so sorry about the loss of your mother. My thoughts are with you.
I always admired you, so smart and together.

Hi Carl,
It's me, Janet Burgess from your past life at Talbot Park and Granby.
I remember your dear Mother very well and always liked her. She was a lady and very sweet.
I missed you at the last class reunion. Just so you know.
I have been e mailing with Robert Brody. This past weekend I saw Margaret Cornick, Wanda Trout, Mary Lynne Miller, and Layne Fraser.
We would all love to be in touch with you.
I send you my deepest sympathy and condolences.

Hi Carl,

Granby Hi.
I am so sorry to see your dear mother's obituary in the paper.
I remember her so well and she was such a LADY and nice
person. My mother, Hannah Burgess, thought so much of her
and so did I.
We have missed you at the class reunions. There's one coming up
in October.
I would love to see you or at least hear from you. I remember you so
well and you were...

Carl, I am so very sorry to hear about your mom; I so appreciated her love and words to me when my mother passed away in 2002: as you probably know, I would go visit her whenever coming home from Denver over the years and then she and I would even write each other from time to time; most recently, I would hear news of your mom from Jolene Shapiro and finally today Janet Burgess who was in our Granby class and saw this sad news. I remember how Mrs. Walker would roll her eyes at your and my...
