Not sure what to say?

I first met Mary Gene in 1957 when my family first moved to Orange Beach. She came to visit us and to invite us to her church, Orange Beach Baptist church. She was my Sunday School teacher until I graduated high school in 1961 and moved away. After that we remained close friends and she was more like family than friend. She always had a way of leading you to make wise decisions without pushing her ideas on you. She had such a lasting impression on my life. Heaven welcomed a worthy...

My precious Mary Gene I've been so worried because I could not get you. You were so precious to our family and we loved you and you family dearly. Always fun times from what mother said (Nadine Raley Southern) and I always loved to be around her. My husband fell in love with her when they first met. I know you are happy and well now, you blessed so many. I knew in my heart that something was wrong, my heart is broken. Love to your family, Sherry Southern Henderson

Mary Gene's!
If there ever was a person to emulate it was Mary Gene. I'm a Yankee who just enjoyed sitting by her side and listening to her expound the Word of God , the book she taught so well. My wife and I will miss her so much but heaven is graced with a lady who loved her Savior. What a great example of a Godly woman.

My condolences to the family. I met Mary at the First Baptist Church Orange Beach. She was a real warm soul and always went out of her way to say hello and make you feel special.

This lovely servant of God has had an impact on more people than anyone I have ever known in my life. There is an empty place in our heart for her loss but we rejoice in the knowledge that she is in God's arms now. LOVE YOU TEACH!!

Will surely miss you, my Friend.
