Not sure what to say?

Mary became an Associate with the Sisters of Charity of Cincinnati in 2004. In that capacity Mary was very supportive and active, and as with everything she excelled, serving on the advisory comittee for 4 years, and actively supporting the Charity Mission. Mary will be missed.

Mary was such an inspiration for the nursing community, not only in Colorado Springs, but in the entire state of Colorado. Her support of the Nightengale Award made it possible for nurses to be recognized for the difference they make to individuals and their communities. She was a modern-day Florence Nightengale, she made a difference.

The FTD Sentiments of Love Arrangement

Mary was a mentor to me as a new nurse in 1977 when I began my career at Penrose. She also was there when I was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau. I still have the picture we took together that day. I have many fond memories of her.

A brightness has gone out of our world. I miss Mary. I was one of many who admired her, wanted to be like her in pursuit of professional excellence, and just wanted to be anyplace that Mary occupied. Of course that was only possible to a limited extent. Mary was important to the WORLD. And I am so blessed to have been part of hers.

A fabulous, classy, funny and compassionate lady. She set the bar for nursing and continued her passion beyond retirement. I will miss seeing her beautiful face. Our thoughts are with Rich and her family and friends.

Thoughts of Tranquility Floor Basket

I am so grateful to have crossed paths with Mary in Kaua'i. She is an inspiration, and her kindness will always be remembered. With aloha, Nancy Long

"Although the world has lost some of it's grace, I am quite sure heaven is rejoicing now that she is home". Sweet words from a dear friend when my Mom, Mary Barabe' Loreto, passed. May you find comfort and joy in your memories.
