Mary Ann Derham Warnecke Age 54, beloved wife and step mother, passed away December 23rd, 2010, from a head injury sustained from an accidental fall in her home. Mary, a 3rd generation Californian and Mill Valley native, was born August 3rd, 1956 to Helen and Charles Derham. She attended school at Mount Caramel, Marin Catholic, Tamalpais High School and College of Marin. Mary lived in San Rafael with her husband Fred Warnecke, they were married October 26th, 1991. In her early career Mary worked in banking and real-estate in San Francisco's financial district, and later at Coldwell Banker in Marin. Recently, her enthusiasm for fashion led her to open a high-end online clothing store. She had the best eye for clothing and loved dressing up and attending parties. Mary loved Marin, going to the beach, playing with her two cats, following the news, sports and politics, and writing about it all on Facebook. She was a beautiful woman who lit up rooms with her radiance, zest for life, and unmatchable compassion. Her honesty and humor charmed all that knew her and she will be remembered for the love and care she gave to her family and friends. Mary is survived by her husband Fred; her step-children Pierce and Alice Warnecke; her mother Helen and brothers Richard and Vincent Derham; her nephew Justin and nieces Kimberly, Grace and Elizabeth. She is predeceased by her dear father Charles Derham and her oldest and most loved friend, her sister Charmaine Derham. A Funeral Mass will be held at St Sebastian's Chuch, 373 Bon Air Road, Kentfield, CA, on Wednesday January 5 at 11:00 am.
