Not sure what to say?

I know this is 3 1/2 years late. Lives go in different directions, and ours have as well through the decades. But for some reason today I was thinking about you, and I thought I’d google your name and and discovered the news.
My first date of my life was with your daughter Sue almost exactly 48 years ago today. You and Lew and your family accepted me into your family almost from the very start. That first date with Sue started 2 1/2 years of some of the happiest years of my life. I...

"...you and Paul rode your bikes where?"

I saw the announcement of Mary Jo's passing and wanted to express my condolences. I always admired Mary Jo for her grace, lovely smile, contagious laugh and easy way. I am sorry for your loss. Mary Jo and Lew were always a popular and fun couple through the years when we saw them.

I am in Tucson for three months so will miss the funeral. I will be there in spirit.

May your Mom rest in peace and may you find peace in her rest. She was a wonderful neighbor and a great friend to our Mom, Alice. She was someone who I enjoy talking to and someone who I enjoyed listening to. In your hearts her love will forever have a home. (I was one of your neighborhood babysitters.)

Mr Wartman, Susie, Ann, Paul and Dick, I attribute many of my fondest childhood memories to growing up next door to you. Your love and kindness allowed me to grow up thinking of your family, home and yard to be an extention of my own. Seeing me off to prom, attending to a few of my many injuries, feeding me after-school snacks, etc were just a few of the ways Mrs Wartman was like a second mom to me when I was growing up. On behalf of my entire family, please accept our deepest sympathy for...

To the Wartman family, it was sad to hear of your moms passing. Hoping your memories will help you though the coming months. Our old neighborhood has lost some of the great people that made it fun to grow up there, your mother was one of those people.

All the best to the Wartman family at this very difficult time.
