I taught with Mary for about 18 years. One of the clearest memories of Mary was that of an adoring teacher standing in her classroom doorway and calling our to her departing students, "I love you". She was a wonderful inspiration to all who taught with her. Bonnie Mullis

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family! I lost my mother to cancer, so I know how difficult it is to lose a loved one to such a horrible disease. She will always be in your thoughts, and over time only the good memories will remain! With God's blessings ...

Having worked with Mary as a fellow department chair at Irmo Middle School, I know firsthand the number of lives she touched. I will remember her most for her sweet gestures -- matched only by her voice -- as she always showed respect and kindness to students and colleagues alike. I feel so lucky to have known her.
