Not sure what to say?

Just a few minutes ago, I must have received a message from Mary Jane as I felt urged to search her name online. And there it was, a notice of her passing 14 years ago ! It was about that time that I left Dallas and went to Santa Barbara and, a year later came home to Edinburgh,Scotland. I read how others have said how elegant she was, how charming etc etc but, to me, Mary Jane was an absolute dynamo ! Always so full of energy. Always the life of the party ! Mary Jane's after...

Mary Jane at a Friendship Force meeting

My condolences on the passing of Mary Jane. I knew her through Friendship Force of Dallas and always enjoyed her lively spirit. She will be missed.

Jean Ann and I so enjoyed knowing Mary Jane and even selling some of her creations in our Pharmacy in Wimberley. We thank Dody for introducing us to her and I know you all will miss her elegant presence. Our sympathy goes out to all of her family and friends.

Dear Ann,

Wes and I want to send our best love to you and your dear family at this sad time. I think the term "a life well lived" suits your Mom to a tee.She was so smart and interested and curious and fabulous and her dry sense of humor was always a treat. I can't remember ever seeing Mary Jane without feeling like she was SO glad to see me. I suspect she made everyone she was around feel that way. She always wanted to catch up and was interested in the details and i only wish I...

Taylor and Kathleen, We are so sorry to hear about your mom. We are in Santa Fe on vacation, and heard the news through Briggs Freeman and also Jim's mom. We are sorry to miss the service but will call when we get back. What a loss. We are thinking of your entire family.

Taylor - my deepest condolences to you in the loss of your mom. She was such an inspiration to me in how she handled your dad's untimely death. Her grace and kindness further underscored my continuing admiration. Please know my thoughts and prayers remain with you, Kathleen and your children during this time.

Ann, Ted and Taylor,

Greetings from one of your many Higginbotham cousins. Your mom was such a great lady. As recently as last month I enjoyed a nice visit with Mary Jane at our cousin Anna Anderson's wedding in Dallas. As the day was also the anniversary of my grandparents, Harriet and Irion Worsham, Mary Jane told us all of her memories of attending their wedding 71 years ago. What a lovely person she was. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Mary Jane was a study in gracious elegance. She will be missed by so many, but her legacy is carried out in her wonderful children and grandchildren. Please accept my deepest condolences and prayers for comfort.
