I met Carter when we took a painting class together at Piedmont Virginia Community College. Both my wife, Vidu, and I attended this class along with Carter, who was very good, especially at still life paintings. Vidu and I were both throwing ourselves whole-heartedly into art and became very committed to oil painting.
