Maryann (Hathaway) Brinkman, 80, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2011 at Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home, Ft. Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Mary Epple. Maryann was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, New Haven and American Legion Post 330 Auxiliary. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse for 17 years at St. Joseph Hospital before retiring in 1983. She is survived by her sons: Michael A. Hathaway of Ft. Myers, FL, Thomas H. (Ann) Hathaway and Robert J. (Barbara) Hathaway both of Fort Wayne; step-son Roger Brinkman, Jr. of Ft. Wayne; grandchildren: Adam, Jason, Sydney, Clarke Hathaway; great grandchildren: Camreen, Nicholas, Alison, Alyssa. She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Robert E. Hathaway in 1964 and her 2nd husband, Roger V. Brinkman, Sr. in 1995; sister, Jane Newkirk; brothers: Henry Carl Epple, Paul Epple. Funeral service is 10 a.m. Thursday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven. Rev. Doug Croucher officiating. Calling is also 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven. Burial is in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne. Preferred memorials are to St. James Lutheran Church Building Fund.
