(Nee Sykes) Of Brookfield. Passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2006 at the age of 72. Beloved wife of the late Lawrence A. Knauf. Loving mother of Stephanie Clementi (Robert Brostowitz), Lawrence (Barbara) Knauf, Jeffrey (Karen) Knauf, Jennifer Knauf and Julianne (Rory) Vees. Grandmother of Christopher (Amy) Knauf, Lauren Knauf, Kimberly Knauf, Alexandra Knauf and Grandma's little "O-DOH" Matthew Vees. Great-grandmother of Aidan Parker Knauf. Maryann is further survived by her brother-in-law, Kenneth (Betty) Knauf and sisters-in-law, Claire Capitanelli, Marie Doolittle, Betty (Julian) Moncada, nephews, nieces and friends.

Maryann was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Melvina Sykes and her half-sister, Fern Taylor, brother-in-law, Robert Knauf and dear sister-in-law, Jean O'Gorman.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 10 at 11 AM at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 1755 North Calhoun Road, Brookfield. Visitation at the church on Friday from 10 AM until the time of Mass. Private Committal Services and Interment at Wisconsin Memorial Park.

Following the Mass a reception at the Western Racquet Club will be held to celebrate Maryann's life.

Maryann was a dedicated loving wife and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her family was her life and was always there to provide comfort, compassion, guidance, love and strength. She will be deeply missed.

Maryann's family would like to express their gratitude to the caring and compassionate individuals of the Froedtert Cancer Care Center, Froedtert Hospital 4NT, Heartland Health Care of Pewaukee and Asera Care Hospice.
