Not sure what to say?

I had the fortunate opportunity to meet and watch MaryAnn as a novice coach in the late 70's and always enjoyed and respected her game and athleticism. She was an asset to the game and to all the teams she became a part of. My condolences to her family and god speed to you "O".

My heart felt condolenceds to all whom she touched. I'm sadden by her passing at such a young age. I knew her through wheelchair basketball and played for Wright State.

Mary Ann was a long time ago pal of mine whom I enjoyed seeing and catching up with whenever I reffed a Women's Division wheelchair basketball game in the '80s and '90s. She was a player! "O" was fun to be around, and I always enjoyed her company. I will miss her smiling face. My sincere condolences to all whom she touched.

In our younger days, as cousins, when family would get together for weddings, reunions, birthdays. I always looked up to MaryAnn. MaryAnn always glowed with confidence, strength, and the ability to make you laugh. Even when her life handed her new challenges she always had a big beautiful smile. She has enriched my life. You will be missed until I see that big smile again.
Love and Deepest Sympathy to the O'Neil family.

MaryAnn was a great wheelchair basketball player and a friend off the court. She will be missed.

MaryAnn has always held a special place in my heart ever since I met her... She was my mentor in basketball and I had nothing but the utmost respect for her. She taught me so much about basketball, life, and myself. No words can describe the loss I feel. I'll miss her so much. She will never be forgotten. My deepest sympathies to her family.

One of my favorite stories of our friendship is. We went to a basketball camp together in White Water Wisconsin. We were driving home. Maryann was driving my car because I hadn't done much long distance driving. She got sick on the way home and needed me to drive this was a trick because I was in the backseat and she was driving. It was no problem for her because she just dove over the front seat. But I was not that agile so I had to get out of the car and crawl to the front seat to...

MaryAnn was one of the best woman wheelchair basketball players ever. Her team was always in the game, both because of her skill and her intensity.

I was living in Colorado in 1979 wanting to become an elete wheelchair athlete. I chose Minnesota because of Courage Center and the athletes I met from there. Mary Ann and I competed in various sports together for many years. I have always said that she was the best point guard in all basketball - mens or womens. We became tennis doubles partners in the early 90's and we had a BLAST. We communicated so well together. She moved on to warmer pastures so that she could play tennis all year...
