I am saddened to learn of this news. My condolences to Marybeth's family friends. I work in the assessment office at State Ed, so I had the opportunity to communicate with her through work emails and the occasional conversation during our staff birthday celebrations or passing by in the halls. Marybeth was always very kind and friendly. She will be missed.

I met Marybeth when I was fifteen years old. From then on we had a wonderful friendship filled with laughter, tears and made many memories together. She loved to dance and she was good at it. I will miss her dearly. Rest in Peace my friend. Until we meet again. Love you.

I am sad that Marybeth has passed from this world. We met in her early days at NYSED, where Marybeth always had a joyful smile for everyone. She was an optimistic and resilient person, who worked her way through life´s hardships with courage that was anchored with hope, faith, family and friendship. As some people journey through life, they leave footprints wherever they go, footprints of kindness and love, courage and compassion, humor and inspiration, joy and faith. Even when they are gone, we can look back and see the trail they left behind, a trail of hope that invites us to follow. And, that is the trail Marybeth leaves behind, a trail of hope. Rest in peace.
