What a lively spirit in Maryette! One of my fondest memories is Maryette "holding court" at the opening reception of the Lil Picard exhibition at the Grey Gallery at NYU in 2010. The exhibition was curated by Kathleen Edwards from the University of Iowa, and Maryette relished sharing her stories of helping to establish the UI Museum of Art with her dearest Iowa friends, Owen and Leone Elliott.
