My husband and I were sad to learn of this lovely woman's passing; we only met her a few times at Stanford events (Hofstadter dinners), but she was a charming and delightful person. I was quite moved by her writing about her childhood friend. My husband and I hope to visit the Hotel Schonegg in Wengen one day and drink a toast to her memory. Our sincere condolences to her husband and family.
