Not sure what to say?

Prof Osborne taught me Complex Analysis in the first year of my PhD Prog at the UW. He had a unique way of challenging and encouraging his students to learn the material, whilst never ever drawing any attention to himself. Thank you Sir for playing your part in my journey through life!

Mr. Osborne - you will truly be missed. Thanks for the great memories in real analysis.

Osborne was an unforgettable professor. Thank you sir, for teaching me well.

Some time ago I sent him an e-mail asking a question about his book Basic Homological Algebra. He replied a few hours later, giving me a nice tip for my B.Sc. thesis. Thanks Professor Osborne. Rest in paece. Daniele

Scott was a dear friend to our family for thirty seven years. He will be dearly missed. Martha Rosien

Farewell my friend and godfather to James Scott Rosien.
Your humor will be sadly missed.

Professor Scott Osborne was a member of my Ph.D. Committee, and I was most grateful for the work he did with me. He was a wonderful man, and I am very saddened by his passing.

I just learned of Scott's passing. We were sorry he could not attend our 50th Class Reunion. I have such wonderful memories of him helping me in Geometry. I am afraid I was not a good math student, but he continued to put up with me. He truly was a gifted man!
