Not sure what to say?

I met Dr Robertson briefly while working as a Nurse at Memorial shortly before he retired. My colleagues pointed him out to me as the man who dared to give medical care to everyone who needed it through a desegregated waiting room in a racially segregated town. I was also impressed that he carried that portable typewriter around out of consideration for others who needed to read his notes and orders. Then I was at the dinner when he received the 1987 NAACP Freedom award for his work in the...

I knew Dr Robertson when I was a nurse at St Joseph's Hospital. I remember him as a kind, gentle man who was careing towards his patients. I also remember him as a dedicated physician who was not going to let an encroaching disease keep him from his calling as a doctor. In his last years in practice, he would be seen carrying in his typewriter so that we could read his orders and progress notes. He was indeed a fine person

Dr Robertson was a wonderful physician and an insightful philosopher. He guided me during my early savannah years and even recommended me for fellowship in the American College of Physicians. I certainly did not always agree with his recommendations but I never doubted their reverence for our patients and respect for the practice of medicine. Anthony M Costrini,MD.

It is with bittersweet emotions that I offer condolences to you. Doc will be missed greatly, but he will finally be with his beloved again. He once told me that life was not worth living without her. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

As you comprehend this profound loss, let yourself cry knowing each tear is a note of love and pain that God feels for you.

So sad to hear of the loss of Mason Robertson but what a wonderful life to celebrate. He was as already noted a seldom equaled human being and humanitarian. I am proud he was physician to my Savannah family and when I was visiting them ministered to my medical emergencies as well. Greatly skilled. It was my pleasure to run into him with Mary at the University of Pennsylvania when they attended the Hematology Society Seminar there. Savannah lost a diamond

Susan, dear,
If Mary Lynn & Bill remember me, please express my sorrow at the loss of your wonderful sweet, etc(!) Dad to them, too. A very dear friend from Sav'h sent me the obituary. Mason lived such a wonderful life--one of always GIVING--along with his beloved help-meet--my beloved friend, Mary. We shared so much together..I will ALWAYS miss BOTH of them!!!!Yours in sorrow, with love, Harriet Moseson Baskin

Deepest condolences from me and from my Mom, Harriet Moseson Baskin. She and my late father, Joe Moseson, were great friends of Mary and Mason and also participated in many activities of the Civil Rights movement with them.

Mary Lynn, you are in our thoughts. We have both been through this and it's so hard to say our final goodbyes to those we love.
