VELASQUEZ, MATIAS, Service for Matias Velasquez are scheduled for 12:00noon, Friday at the St Edwards Catholic Church with Father Jesus Belmontes officiating. Burial will conclude at the Grove Hill Memorial Park. The Rosary will be recited at 7:00pm Thursday at the Hughes Funeral Home/Jefferson Chapel. Visitation will be from 5-9pm Thursday. Mr. Velasquez died this past Sunday. Survivors include his wife: Genevieve Martinez, Children: Patricia Velasquez, Matias Velasquez III. Step-Son: Kenton Pugh. Father and Mother: Matias Sr and Josefina Velasquez. Two Brothers: Humberto Velasquez, Richardo Velasquez.. Three Sisters: Arabella Reyes, Araceli Garcia, Velma Diaz. Mother-in-Law: Alice Largo. My uncle Matias Velasquez,Jr that we loved we will miss u and u will always be in our heart, and will never be forgotten

always will be in my heart.

My uncle matias was one of the best uncles I ever had he was so nice and gernorous but now he is in a better place and he will be missed, he will always be in our hearts and never be forgotten.

You always had a big heart and never did anything to harm anyone. A kind hearted HAPPY person with a smile no matter what. We cherish those happy memorable moments he had with us and are blessed that we had Matias Velasquez,Jr. as our uncle. WE LOVE YOU TIO MATIAS!!!

My Brother that we all loved we will miss you and we will always have you in our hearts.

We would like to thank everyone for your support and prayers during this very difficult time. Matias loved everyone and touched so many people. He will always be with us in our hearts. Our prayer is that we all will be more loving, caring and faithful to God as he was.... Matias, We will miss you and always love you. The Velasquez Family are in my prayers and I have great sympathy for them.I know his son, I didn't know Matias but, just knowing his son I know he touched many hearts. I know he'll be greatly missed.
