Not sure what to say?

Dear Sheila & Family, We're going to miss fishing with and talking to Matt. He always had some humorous remark to make. There was no doubt who was talking on the radio when Matt called other fishermen. He had a very distinct voice. Sometimes we launch our skiff in front of Matt and Sheila's beach house. Matt called us the "Beach Brothers". He had a way with words.

Dear Sheila, Alana and Jenna, I will remember Matt for his quick wit and his powerful personality. He was dedicated to his family. As a fisherman, he was courageous when confronted by the extreme danger of the job. I will truly miss him and the fun times we all had together over the past 30 years

Matt was a great friend, always eager to help. He will be missed. Rest in peace buddy.

I am in shock. I knew Matt on and off for more than 30 years. I am sad and stunned that that humorous, generous, and different being... has left us. My heart goes out to Sheila and their daughters. His soul, like the ocean that was much of his live, remains with us...

Gerry, Laurie, Sheila and family, so many years have passed in seemingly so short a time. I am sorry to hear of Matt's passing, and believe I saw him last when he came from Hawaii for his mother's funeral service. I will not be in town for the service on the 26th, so I offer my condolence and best wishes to all of you, and a remembrance of great days in past years. Jim Green, S.F.

He was a live long friend. One of the first when i left the block. We were neighbors at the beach, surfed together, hunted and fished together. Rest in Peace.
