I met Matt when I was in undergrad in `92 or `93. We became fast friends due to similar tastes in music. He was putting on shows on East County and playing in Turkey Mallet and Papillon. Sue and Ken and family I am so sorry for the loss of your son. Sue, I remember you talking about him as a child when we worked together at Grossmont. Words can not express how sorry i was to see his sudden death. Matt was in my Spanish Class at Valhalla High school and I remember him because he had such a great sense of humor. He wrote a commercial in Spanish that had few Spanish words but was immensely entertaining. Forty years later I remember laughing at his skit. He was a charming young man full of promise. My husband Scott was also Matt's Government teacher and remembers him with great fondnesss. When we heard he owned Starlight Restaurant, we went to Starlight to have dinner and loved the food...
