I remember playing 9th grade basketball with Matt. During high school Matt and I went to Jackson many times. He had the car. Rest in Peace Matt.

Neighbors as kids to Matt and his family. Good memories. Singing on the bus with Isabell. Rest in peace Matt.

I remember Matt and all his sisters and brother. We were neighbors with them all the years growing up in Napoleon. One of his older sisters babysit us a couple of times. I remember his mom and dad. All of them were always so nice. Isabell if you see this , I am Donna Pyne . I just remember most all of you and have always missed you. Give all your family my love and sorrow for loosing another family member

Matt was a sweet guy who I remember from High School. In hindsight, it must have been difficult to be the only black family in Napoleon, but he and his sister Hattie were part of our family there. RIP Matt. In sadness for your families loss, Rita Thomas

Matt. your family being the only blacks in the little town of Napoleon and our school had their own strugle. But you was your own man even as a boy. I am a much better person having known you and your sister Hatti. RIP

Rest In Peace, Matt...Friends from the class of 1965...Napoleon High School,Napoleon, Michigan.

I met Matt many years ago. He was a good man and loved his family. May He rest in God's arms. The "PIPELAYER" has left the building.
