Not sure what to say?

Matt, it has been > 20 years since I last saw you but I remember you like it was yesterday. Except, I am now much older and you are now a kid to me. It´s not fair. I wish you got to experience more of earthly life. You are a true champion. Thank you for your sacrifice. I hope the universe is fair and you have joy. The fantasy is that I will see you again and the first thing you will say is the last 20+N years were good to you. After that, we can pass the time doing nerdy stuff and playing...

Hello,
We would like to express our deepest condolences and also to let the Commons Family to know that we recently sent a donation to the Lead The Way Fund in the name of Matthew A. Commons US Army Corporal. We recognize that this is a humble tribute, but we wanted you to know that it is heartfelt and made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals in the youth hockey community and beyond. We will not forget. May God Bless you and keep you strong.
Sincerely,

Although I never knew Pfc. Commons, a flag in his honor has been hanging in my classroom for 10+ years. I don't want his sacrifice for me and my family to be forgotten. Thank you for keeping us safe and free.

To the family and friends of Pfc. Matthew A. Commons:
It has truly been my honor to sign Matthew's guest book these past few years. Unfortunately, due to complications from my Multiple Sclerosis, this may be the last message I'm able to write. Please forgive me and know that Matthew will always be remembered in my home.
With love and respect ~ Peggy

Baney, Jeff and I in Vegas at his wedding, wish you were with us!

Matt
You have always been with me even though you not here. I still have a picture of us when you pledged Sigma Nu in college. I still have the box of stuff from your dorm room that you left at my house when you wen tback to Boulder City after the semester ended. You are my true hero and I will always miss you. You are a brother and I will always remember you. I take every March 4th off from work, I call it my "Matt Day". Thanks for allowing me to be part of your life.

End of Mission, Return to Base. (EOM, RTB)

Ten years have passed, but we miss Matthew Commons as much today as we did then. Peace to all.
