I hadn't seen Matt since we were at college together in Brighton, England in the 1980s but had followed his career via internet with warm interest. He was the smartest guy on our course but never took himself too seriously. A sad loss and condolences to his family.

Matthew, you were a bright light in the world and I'm glad to have known and worked with you. You reminded me that one can both work in the arts and create inspiring new work.
