Dear Mark and Dana,
I know I wrote before but I wanted to add one more thought. I don't know if you know about Compasionate Friends, these are parents who have lost their children in various ways. After Holly's death Ralph and I went for grief counseling and also to Compasionate Friends. We have walked this path, as others have, our hearts go out to you and the rest of the family. Thank you so much for all of your kind words, thoughts, and prayers. It is through the strength and peace of your prayers that we are able to make it through these days. Matt's life is a great gift to us and we have so many wonderful memories. We will make new memories as a family but Matt's presence will always be with us in our hearts.

Mark, Dana, Michael, Mark & Jayne: There is a lonesomeness after losing someone so near and dear to you, but we want you to know that your family and friends are thinking of you in this time of great loss. We will never forget the friendliness and kindness Matt always extended to us. He is loved by all who knew him.

The Applegates have been a part of our lives from the early days as members of the Holy Family Parish. Our kids grew up together and then Matt became friends with our Kyle and we found a new connection. We are all saddened by the tragic event of last week. Please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers.
