Peppler Funeral Home - Allentown Obituary

Matthew S. Beggs, 46, of Chesterfield Twp., passed away at home unexpectedly in the early morning hours of Sunday, May 31, 2020. Raised in Walnut Creek, CA, he graduated from Las Lomas High School where he was an All-American swimmer and student body president. Matt was a graduate of the University of Oregon where he fostered his love of history and music. He returned to the San Francisco Bay Area after traveling abroad. He lived and worked in San Francisco for several years where he made many friends and met his wife, Liz. He moved with his family to Liz’s hometown in New Jersey in 2015. Matt worked as a Global Learning and Development Manager. He was an avid tri-athlete and became very involved in the CrossFit community both in California and New Jersey.

Matthew is survived by his loving family and friends. He was the caring son of Denise Guidici of Crosswicks, NJ and William Beggs of Walnut Creek, CA; the devoted husband of Elizabeth Angelucci Beggs and adoring father of Jack and Paige Beggs, all of Chesterfield; and a typical big brother of Timothy Beggs of Crosswicks. Matthew is also survived by his close-knit and nurturing aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A coach and mentor, Matthew loved people and had a huge circle of friends both near and far.

Not sure what to say?

I was so sad to hear this news. Matt was such a huge force of energy and positivity when I attended high school with him in Walnut Creek, CA. Sending love to his family and friends and we will miss him at our upcoming reunion.

We were saddened and shocked to learn of Matt's passing. I remember him as a happy, joyful little guy who developed into a thoughtful young man. He was a person who will not be forgotten.

Dear Family and especially wife and children of Matt. I recently learned of Matt's passing. I am so sorry to hear about that. I knew Matt through Lauren Wells (from Robert Half), who helped plan Matt's Protiviti meetings when he came to Florida. He asked my company (SAK Comedy Lab) to simply work in to his agenda to provide a comedy show and some team lessons for his new managers. He was a big believer in his team at Protiviti and wanted them to have a great experience during their...

Deeply saddened to hear the news! I couldnt believe it, I red it twice before I accept it. I met Matt last year in Milan for a training program by Protiviti. He is very personable and the whole team loved him. He is a great trainer and always available for chats and to share his valuable insights. May his soul Rest In Peace. Please accept my deepest condolence. May God bless the family, friends and dear ones with His peace in this difficult time.

The last memory I have of Matt, was one that still brings a smile to my face. You were having one of those deep, happy tears falling, wonderful belly laughs...to the point you had all of us in happy tears laughter. I'm so grateful and appreciative that's where we left it. That laugh will stay with me forever.

We've worked together for years and I appreciate the honor and opportunity of having know you this lifetime friend. Your journey was short, but powerful and impactful. I will...

We are so shocked and saddened to hear of Matt's passing. We knew Matt when he was our swim coach at Miramonte Swim Club. He was the most genuine & enthusiastic coach we ever had. He was full of positive vibes...coached and mentored in a strong and loving way, was a great friend on & off the pool deck, and could be amazingly silly too!
We will never forget what an impact he made on our 3 sons lives...he truly was an inspiration to all.

I am so shocked and saddened by this news. I had the pleasure of attending one of Matts challenge schools in Milan. Matt had a genuine interest in helping people and went out of his way to make sure everyone at the challenge school was well looked after. Matt will be missed by the learning and development team and by wider protiviti community. My heartfelt condolences to Matts family during this difficult time.

I thought of you today, but that is nothing new. I thought about you yesterday, and days before that too. I think of you in silence, and often speak your name. Now all I have are memories, and your picture in a frame. Your memory is a keepsake; with which I will never part. God has you in his keeping, and I have you in my heart.
Your Friendship, Kindness will be missed. Protiviti's Global Learning & Development team speak of you often. Rest In Peace You Gentle Giant!

We are deeply sadden by the passing of Matt. We have fond memories of him and times shared together. He was a clever and kind man with an infectious smile. Our hearts hurt for his close loved ones and we will keep them in our thoughts and prayers. With deepest sympathy, Donald & Genna Vizcaino and Family
