Oh, how we could use his vision, wisdom and humor now!

A giant whose good works, warm spirit and great friendships will last long after his years with us. Blessings to the Bender family, whose family relationship with ours dates back a century

What can one say about a true Renaissance Man? Matthew was interested in everything and everyday was a journey to new knowledge. And, all of us were the beneficiaries of his insatiable appetite for knowledge.
We are all the poorer for his passing.

Sincerest condolences to Mr. Bender's family. May this kind and generous gentleman rest in the peace of knowing he bettered his community through a lifetime of effective effort.

I will always remember Mathews kindness when we did a joint presentation representing The Albany Institute of History & Art, very early in my professional career. Mathew had always been a revered business leader & incredible philanthropist in our community. Sincerest condolences to the entire Bender family.
