Never Forgotten.

Memories are the stars in the sorrow of darkness; hold tight to your treasured memories of Mat.

R.I.P. Battle. You were a blessing and an inspiration...

Matthew and I were stationed together back in 2000 at Ft. Hood, Tx. We were Army medics and deployed in OIF I together. We kept in touch periodically over the years, via email, so I knew of his dream to become an officer. We went through ROTC at the same time and to LDAC the same year. He spoke of his beautiful wife and daughter who were the loves of his life. It hurts my heart that the world has lost such an amazing person....

Rest in peace, Dear Matthew. You are the true definition of a hero. Thank-you for your service, may God bless and watch over your family during this time of grief and always.

To the Blount Family, my thoughts & prayers are with you at this time. I know how hard it is to lose a loved one too soon. Be comforted in knowing he is with our Lord & Savior and is in no more pain. Brother Mike kept Matt & your family on our prayer request for the duration of his illness and beyond. May God Bless you & keep you in His care. He will comfort you in your time of need. Yours in Christ.

RIP brother. We started with 12, ended with 4. I'll never forget the rescue swimmer or the low crawling the hill. See you again one day. S&B. Hyde (JSU)

Thank you for your service.
