I to was a friend of Matthew's and was fortunate enough to know him. I just learned of his death from this online memorial. I was looking him up to say hello. I also got to go to Pinehurst N.C. with him. It is a memory I will cherish forever. We enjoyed many golf outings in North and South Carolina. Even though Matthew left the beach years ago, I will always remember his quick wit and smile, and when he tried to be serious, always ended with a laugh. Matt was my friend; I will always remember and miss him. My condolences to his family, as he often spoke about with endearment.

He was a nice guy. We used to jump rope as kids. He was good with a rope and other games. A happy and fun childhood friend, will be missed.

Matt was a really good friend of mine, we lived a lot of adventure stories. He was a reliable friend you could always count on and best man at my wedding.
