I have only met him a hand full of times, around then he was much younger. Brent use to take me to Parrish's house in Montgomery. I could not believe how much he loved racing.
The first time I went to Parish's house, Parrish was rewiring the ignition in his lawn tractor into a push button type because Matthew thought that it needed to be started the same way as a race car. I thought it was a good idea too.

Matty you were one of my best friends, there was distance over the last few years but I'll never forget how close we once were, and how you were always there for me through thick and thin. I still have your infamous country mix CD and will never forget the long nights just hanging at the house or the shop, having cookouts, and working on cars or hanging with the guys at the gas station bc there was nothing better to do. Love you matty, until we meet again!
