As a mother who has lost her son, my heart goes out to Matt's parents. I remember Matt was my student in 7th grade math. What a handsome young man he grew up to be. May his memories bring you comfort one day. Rest in peace, Matt.

I knew Matt for a long time, we met at Copper Creek in 3rd grade. Always a good kid, and friendship meant so much to him. I haven't seen Matt in about 8 years, but since I last saw him, I have lost my father, my sister, and just recently, my daughter. My heart and many prayers go out to all his family and friends.
Such a sweet kid, unfortunate that we did not get to know each other as adults. He will be missed!

To Matt:
You touched each and every one of our lives in different ways and for that, you will never be forgotten, but simply remembered for the friend that you were to each one of us. I won't say "goodbye", but I WILL say "see you soon" and until then, you will live on in our hearts just as you did the days you were with us. We all love you and will miss you......
UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN

Our hearts go out to your entire family. It is times like this that make you stop and think about life and its true meaning. It is times like this that break your heart and make you ask that always and forever unanswered question "Why?!!". It has been said that time heals all wounds, however there are some wounds like the loss of a child that time can never completely heal. But by the grace of God and with the love and support from friends and family members, co-workers and sometimes,...

I knew Matt quite well. I have been Kate’s best friend for over a decade. Matt held my heart because he held hers for so long. He was a wonderful man and a joy to be around. I have so many wonderful memories with Matt, Brent, Kate and I. Now Matt and Brent are riding together again in an endless sunset. I love you all and wish I could be there. –Nicole Dellerman

We are so deeply saddened to hear about Matt's death and know the void that it has left in the lives of all of us who knew him.
Matt represented all that is good and right and wonderful about the young people in this country. He was a son of whom all parents would be proud and a man whose friendship was given without limitations.
It was a honor to know him and a priviledge to work with him. It was a blessing to be in his presence.
All of our love and compassion.
