I want to offer my sincere condolence to the family of Matthew G. Brown. I am Verlisha Taylor. I was his teacher during his elementary years. My fondest memory of Matthew is when I read the story "Marigolds" by Eugenia Collier. I placed marigold seeds in an envelope for him to plant over the summer. When the summer ended, he showed me a picture of the marigold he planted on the side of his house. He was the only child to ever do the assignment in the 15 years that I have done it. Here...
