Matthew P. Cochran

I am blessed to have had Mr. C. as my fifth-grade teacher. He was a constant example of patience, humility, and kindness. I will always remember the way his watch jingled when he told us to use a reciprocal in math, his excitement when he taught us the math game 24, and the time that he volunteered his Thanksgiving lunch for a classmate of mine who hadn´t been able to bring the money for her own. I am thankful for all that I learned from him.

Carla, Dave and family. I never met Matthew but I learned of his kind and gentle nature from his aunt Kim. She spoke lovingly of him and made me feel like I had met him. It warmed my heart to read of his favorite Bible verse. My Grand mother Katy Strunk, she would be Carla's great aunt, shared that verse with me when she was near her journey to be with our lord.
