I just heard about this today and was a mt bike acquaintance and did not get to know him very well but sharing passions is what makes for a good life. My best wishes to his family and friends.

I just heard about his death today. I am so very sorry for your loss...everyone's loss really. I had just begun to get know him. He was a great person to know and his smile quite infectious. His passion, concern for others and love of life were crystal clear. His MTB family sends their love.

I was shocked and so sad to hear that Matt died. I've known him through his accounting work at Hansen Hunter for about 10 yrs and have always enjoyed his humorous and warm conversation. I am so sad to see a young man cut down in life that had such completeness and joy.

I'm so shocked and saddened. We are just now hearing this. Matt was such a great guy with a huge spark of energy and positivity. I'm really really sorry to learn of his passing and send my condolences to his entire family. He was such a solid guy. I know he'll be watching the big game from up high and rooting for his Ducks. There must be a positive twist to this somehow but I'm at a loss for words and deeply saddened by his passing.

Matt, you were absolutely the best in every sense of the word. From the time we met in the mid-90's it was obvious what a truly special soul you were. I can't believe there will be no more duo phone calls from you and Danny. I always said you two could take it on the road - you were that witty and funny. Despite ours being a working relationship you were very dear to me. My deepest sympathy goes to all your family and friends, furry ones included. You will be missed more than I can find...

Tracy...I do not know you but I wanted to express my condolences for your loss. I babysat the boys when they were young. So many great memories about Matt's smile, laugh, willingness to do ANYTHING and heart. I had not been in countact with the family for a long while. My heart goes out to Toni, Bill & Pat as well.
If they can get a hold of me [email protected], I would love to give Toni a hug. Again, I am sorry for the loss of the light in your life.
