Not sure what to say?

I recently learned of Matt's passing while attending the funeral Mass of our classmate at SHP and SHU.Msgr Mike Kelly informed me about it while he officiated the Mass for E.Paul Shine.I grew up in Harrison,NJ knowing Matt. From age 4 to 21 we attended the same schools,Holy Cross Grammar school was the first stop.Matt's aunt was the second grade teacher there.I don't think I can recall ever seeing him without a smile.
The other thing I recall is that after school,Matt would exit the bus...

To The Duffy Family,
I am very sorry to learn of the passing of your Dad and Mom, I just saw the current announcement in the paper of the Graveside Service. I live in Murrells Inlet, SC, so I will be unable to attend. I worked with your Dad for many years and he was a special person to all who knew him. I did not know your Mom, however your Dad talked about her several times. They had a wonderful relationship. May God be with all of you during the coming days, months and years on...

I have known your Dad for 20+ years. He was always a pleasure to see and I feel indeed fortunate to have known him. He was truly a caring man and helped so many people in our community. I will be miss him. My sincere condolences to all of his family. Eileen Pevarski

I have so many wonderful memories of our working together and still find myself using his many humorous expressions. Matt and I were both from NJ; we both had birthdays in March and we both loved Macintosh apples, which are hard to find in Virginia. Sometimes Matt would bring an extra apple in his lunch just for me. He cared a great deal about the people in his life and...

We knew Matt through his work with the Refugee and Immigration Office. He was always a pleasure to deal with and he helped bring us many wonderful employees through the years. His compassion and concern for helping people was apparent.

Our condolences to Matt's family and friends. He will be missed.

I met Mr. Duffy at St. Andrews Cemetary. I have to say he was one of the nicest people you would ever want to meet. He went above and beyond in getting information for us on the plots at the cemetary. I know he will be missed by all. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Just want you to know you are in my thoughts and prayers at this time of loss.
