Uncle Matt was a great Uncle. He had the loudest laugh and really loved being around his family. He was never scared to let you know his opinion! He would always go in for the BEAR HUG. I was fortunate getting to spend time with my Uncle Matthew growing up in Westfield, at Great Lake Sacandaga, Hull, a trip to Boulder, Colorado in high school (one of my best memories and I uploaded some pictures of where we stayed/visited), and in the Washington DC area when visiting our family. I was a friend of Matt during and just after high school. The basement was a rocking place. I'll always remember him driving around in the red convertible "Love Bandit".

I did not know Matt real well. I knew his older brother Joe and his sister Eileen much better. But what I do know of Matt is that he always had a smile and a guitar in hand. And yes, a cowboy hat on back then, which was the seventies. I lived about a mile from his house in westfield, Massachusetts. Agood man.
