Matthew passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2017. Matthew was a resident of Brooklyn, New York at the time of his passing. He was married to Ann. The visitation for Matt Fitzgerald will be held at Marine Park Funeral Home on Sunday March 19 2017 from 6:00 ? 8:00 PM and again on Monday March 20 2017 from 2:00 ? 4:00 7:00 ? 9:00 PM. The funeral will be held on Tuesday March 21 2017 ? the family will be meeting at the funeral home by 9:30 AM. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church at 11:00 AM. Immediately following the Funeral Mass a Committal Service will take place at St. John Cemetery.
Many found memories of Mr. Fitz -- the earliest being the "statue of liberty" running play during Pop Warner Football.
