Not sure what to say?

Mr. Foley - you will always be an inspiration to your students. I have never forgotten your wisdom, "you never get a second chance to make a first impression" and have lived that every day. You were an example for all of us and your smile was a reward. Blessings to your family!

I worked with Matt at the Y. We often worked the opening shift together. Matt always had a smile and a warmth about him, that got my day off to a good start. I loved our conversations and the fact that he willingly shoveled and salted ( in the dark!) with me on many cold snowy days. You are missed Matt. Thank you for being my friend.

As I read all the other messages it brings a smile to my face at how much he was loved! He really made you feel special, always smiling, cracking jokes, and his hugs were the best! To this day I still use one of his quotes from shop, "it's always better to ask stupid questions then to make stupid mistakes". I consider myself lucky to have known Mr. Foley. I even went to his house with Karen, & Mrs. B after he retired and he gave me a bunny! ~ Thank you for the Memories.

Mr. Foley, it saddens me to hear of your passing. You were there for us in so many ways. Kind words, a smile & that infectious laugh. You were there for me during some hard times and I am forever grateful for that. Because of you, I wanted to be a better person. You were so full of light, laughter and love. "From one of many to one of few." RIP xoxo

The world just lost one of the best teachers ever. In all my years of school, Mr Foley is the one I remember most. His love for teaching, his laughter and his weird sense of humor. Heaven has an awesome angel to watch over everyone. Prayers to his family.

So sorry for your loss. I had Mr. Foley in the ninth grade and he was the greatest. My sister Doreen graduated from graphic arts and I used to go visit her and he would always give the best smile and always welcomed you. Rest in peace Mr. Foley

Best. Teacher. Ever.
Mr. Foley....warm, kind, funny, tough when necessary, always fair, we each thought we were his favorite! A great man and a terrific educator. The world needs more like him. RIP

Dear Mr. Foley, There was no other like you. Your kind smile and generous hugs saw many of us through the good times and the bad in high school. You gave the best you had and those of us lucky enough to sit in front of you in class were blessed with wonderful stories of your life. Your love for Mugsey was a beautiful example to follow. Thank you. And I think of you and smile you when I'm looking for something to stir my coffee with. "Always use something sanitary when you stir your coffee"...

What a great teacher. Always there to help in anything that you had problems with.... RIP... Class of 83.
