Dr. Matthew J. Gilliss

I just found out about this last night and have been grieving and imagining with deep sadness what your family must be going through... I was a patient with Dr. Gilliss for many years. He was, plain and simple, a really good doctor. It's taking a lot to try to comprehend that he is gone. My heart is so heavy today with grief, as I just found out about Dr. Gillis. He was sooooooooo nice, caring and professional. I was looking online for the office number, because I have a new phone, and I had to do a double take. I am really going to miss him. My sincere condolences to the family.

I'm so sorry for your loss. He was my favorite doctor of all time, always wonderful to talk to and very kind and knowledgeable.

Just received a call from the office informing me of his tragic passing. Matthew had been my doctor of the last 4 years or so, and I was quite comfortable with him and found him to be an excellent doctor. My condolences to his family and friends.

Like many, notified through my healthcare insurance that there was a change and called the office to discuss only to be told the terrible news of his passing. My Doctor for many years he was a true gentleman and elicited the trust one always expects to have in a Doctor. My sincere condolences to his family whom I know he loved very much. How tragic such a beautiful soul to be separated from his family whom he loved with every fiber of his being.
I will treasure the time I got to spend with him in Louisiana when he rode a bus down to baton rouge and spent a week in the swamp with me and my husband. Even though we had only typed to each other over the internet.
I could not have been more proud of him and his accomplishments if he had been one of my children.

I just called to make an appointment and was told that Dr. Gillis had passed away.....I am heartbroken for his family as well as his patients... Dr. Gillis has been my doctor for 10 years...He was the only doctor to help me with a chronic condition I have....His intelligence and caring personality made him a rare physician in this day and age.... I will miss his quick wit...our discussions of how our families both loved DisneyWorld but mostly his genuine care about my health and...
