Not sure what to say?

I can barely write this because the loss I feel is so great. Matt had such a gift for spreading joy and creating laughter. I never had a conversation with him where I didn't get off the phone smiling and feeling warm-hearted. I loved his sense of humor, his kind spirit, and his huge heart. I miss him so very much.

We loved Matt dearly and we'll miss him so very much. He brought us so much pleasure. His bright, sunny disposition was infectuous and he brought cheer to all who came in contact with him.

Although I did not know Matt very well, i know that he was a great friend to many. He will be remembered forever in the hearts of all those that loved him. I pray everyday for Matt, the Hofmaier-Heim family, and for all of Matt's friends. God bless you during these hard times.

I found out through my mother, a member of the River Forest Tennis Club, about your tragic loss. I spent a couple of summers with Matt working at the tennis club and I'll always remember him to be quick with a smile and a laugh. He was a great guy to work with and I have fond memories of him and I goofing off and trading jokes with each other. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Our condolences on this terrible loss. Our son was a close friend of Matt's at Denison and shares your pain. He will be remembered. Our prayers are with you.

As someone who new Matt and all of his friends through high school, let me offer my sincere sympathy for Matt and his family. Matt was a good kid who had a lot of friends and we will all feel his loss. We all wish God's good graces upon you all and to Matt in his new life with him.

Nothing can be said for your loss. Matt will always be remembered, as a friend, as a brother, and as a son. I am so sorry.

To Dave, Barbar and Family,

As a friend of my son, Matt, I knew and liked your son Matt very much. I hope friends and family of Matt can all learn from your pain and lean on each other in times of need. Matt lives with God and will be loved.

Peace to all who knew him,

Rich Downs

David, Barbara & Dan,

You are in my prayers daily. My heart is bleeding for you and trust God to wrap his loving arms around you and give strength and courage.
