Matthew Edward "Buffalo" Heinen, 24, of Kent, died Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at Akron City Hospital Medical Center.
He was born October 21, 1985 in Akron, to Michael W. Heinen and Sherrie Lynn (Turner) Heinen Pierce. He was a graduate of Field High School. He was employed by Becker Pump Company. He was a member of Teamsters.
He is survived by his father, Michael (Jane Kelsch) Heinen of Kent; mother, Sherrie (Michael) Pierce of Brimfield; brothers, Joshua Pierce, Michael Heinen, Tony Heinen, Shalako Pierce, Kyle Pierce, and Kenny Kelsch; sisters, Angela Heinen, Savannah Pierce, and Wendy Kelsch; grandparents, Jenny and Harry Turner & James and Karen Pierce; uncles, James (Sally) Brown, Thomas Turner, and Jason (Patty) Turner; and aunts, Cheryn (Don) Wall and Alicia (Dean) Anderson;
Calling hours will be held 5-7 PM Friday, October 22nd at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home 628 West Main Street Kent, where services will be held 7:00 PM with Charles Pierce officiating. Burial will be 2:30 PM Saturday in Restland Cemetery in Brimfield. Memorial contributions may be made to Brimfield Police Department for the K 9 or DARE program, 1287 Tallmadge Road, Brimfield, Oh 44240.
Thinking of you and praying for God's peace to surround you. I remember Matt as a little "tank" coming into the old office, what a sweetie! and more recently, with a job, all grown up,on his own and seemingly very happy and doing well. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
