Mom and I remember Matt as a young, kind, and enthusiastic physician at Prince of Peace, as a resident at Parkview ( Mom was an RN for 60 years) and as the son of the lovely Beverly Heller and Whitey Heller. 30 yrs ago I worked 3rd shift ER in Whitley co hospital with Dr Heller. Police brought a car/deer accident in. A baby doe survived. Doctor adopted the deer, putting it in his truck for the remainder of his shift. Feeding/watering/checking on it between patients. He took it home, raised it and shared many happy memories of it's growth for months to come. That is the loving, caring man he was!!! I have never forgotten him!!! He will be missed. I hope this brings a smile to your...

I first came to meet Dr Heller ,as he was a family practice resident at Parkview Hospital. He often made rounds on the Obstetrical and Newborn patients. His big smile , humor and attention to detail were welcomed in the unit. Godspeed , you served many.
