Our deepest sympathies to all.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Hempel family during this very difficult time of the loss. May this candle be a symbol of how much we appreciate the bravery and professionalism that Matt exemplified to all who had the privilege of working with him and who's lives he has touched.

Sending my sincere condolences to the Hempel family during this very difficult time. I am proud to have been afforded the opportunity to work with Matt countless times during my 10 year career as an Investigator with the Burlington County Medical Examiner's Office.

To the Hempel Family I am sad to find out Matt passed away I met him at our EMS coordinators meetings and through various E-mail over the years we were one of the 21 coordinators in the state he will be missed

I was so very deeply saddened by the news that Matt had passed. Mary Beth, Walt, Ben, I am so sorry for your loss. My condolences to Matt's immediate family that I do not know but that are suffering a deep loss. My memory of Matt is one of a warm, funny, caring, talented young man who was a great friend to all ages. I am sad to know that we will never cross paths in Duxbury again. Godspeed Matthew David Hempel.
